At this on-farm event we are talking all things to do with Iceberg diseases. The AHDB Challenge Sheep project focuses on identifying ways of improving flock efficiency and profitability. Our Challenge Sheep farmers collect data at regular intervals throughout the year and use it to make informed management decisions such as when to cull and how to optimise ewe longevity in the flock.

Jake Freestone and Tom Chapman who farm at Overbury Estate in Gloucestershire, and Sam Jones who farms at Brookhouse Farm in Worcestershire, are both part of AHDB’s Challenge Sheep project. At this event, they will each discuss their management of iceberg diseases and data insights from their farms, alongside veterinary consultant Phillipa Page from Flock Health Ltd.

Timetable

  • Discussion of different iceberg diseases
  • Case studies from Overbury Estate and Brookhouse Farm
  • Insights from the Challenge Sheep project
  • 5pm Dinner
