Testing for anthelmintic resistance is key to ensuring the health and productivity of your flock. At this event, AHDB’s Challenge Sheep farmer Phil Pearse will be joined by Nicky Ogden from Synergy Farm Health Ltd to discuss best practice when it comes to worming.

The AHDB Challenge Sheep project focuses on identifying ways of improving flock efficiency and profitability. The development of anthelmintic resistance can pose a high risk for sheep producers and measures to avoid this are essential. Phil and Nicky will discuss how best to detect anthelmintic resistance, using real on farm data and insights.

Timetable

  • Worming overview including why and when we do it
  • Introduction to looking at wormer efficiency
  • Phil’s trial and data insights
