Potato Weekly

04 October 2019

At a glance

  • Scattered heavy rainfall hampered lifting across the UK this week. Those on lighter soils were able to make progress midway through the week. With further rainfall forecast in many areas over the weekend getting onto heavier fields is likely to remain difficult.
  • Domestic trade was steady this week. The wet weather restricted lifting in many regions and slight lifts in prices for some frying varieties were seen as a result.
