Potato Weekly

18 October 2019

At a glance

  • Lifting progress is varied, for those on lighter land lifting has resumed after a few days of dry weather. There are significant worries for those with crop still in the ground in areas which experienced exceptionally heavy rainfall, such as the North West.
  • For packing a slight increase in free-buy trade was reported in England, though Scottish movement remains mostly contracted. In the bag market trade remains “difficult” with best samples of some varieties difficult to find.
