Potato Weekly

01 November 2019

At a glance

  • Although progress is being made lifting, remains slow on heavier land. With further rainfall forecast over the weekend lifting these fields is likely to remain difficult, and some crop may be left in the ground. For those with crops in store the question is now how well volumes lifted during the wet weather will keep, and for how long.
  • Domestic trade remains subdued for most. Many growers are prioritising lifting and drilling when they are able to get onto the land. As a result availability of some varieties remains tight, with limited supplies leaving stores.
