Potato Weekly

15 November 2019

At a glance

  • Heavy rain continues to cause severe lifting issues across much of the country. Crops that are still in the ground are sitting in saturated soils.
  • Price increases have been seen in many market sectors, particularly for best quality supplies.
  • Some supplies in store are too wet to be moved yet. Growers are reportedly reluctant to open stores at current free-buy prices, particularly for those with top quality.
