Let’s Eat Balanced has returned
Our Let’s Eat Balanced marketing campaign returned on 1 January, with lots of activity planned to target consumers at a time when many will be focusing on health and diet.
It highlights that British beef, lamb and dairy are natural sources of vitamin B12, which helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue.
Keep an eye out for activity and make sure you share it with friends and family.

Help us tell farming’s story
We are looking for beef, dairy, pig and sheep farmers to share their stories as part of our consumer marketing campaigns.
Hearing directly from farmers helps to provide reassurance to consumers about Britain’s world-class production standards.
While farmers have already been helping to tell the positive story about British farming on social media, we would love to feature more of you.

Become more profitable using national beef evaluations
Using the right animal genetics can help you become more efficient and profitable.
Did you know we use abattoir data from over 14 million animals, alongside BCMS, milk recording and breed society data, to produce our National Beef Evaluations (NBE)?
These measure the genetic potential for five carcase traits and three maternal attributes. Whatever the breed (or even crossbreed), you can look up your cattle on our website and check their traits.

In the next edition of this newsletter, we’ll be sharing results from a study that evaluates the impacts of different methods of castrating lambs.
You’ll be able to use the information to evaluate your on-farm practices and decision making, to potentially improve welfare, productivity and profitability, while minimising environmental impacts.
